GUN DOG EVENTS
WHAKATANE CLUB TRIALS The Gun Dog Executive of the Whakatane Rod and Gun Club conducted a series of successful trials during the weekend. Many sports-; men brought their dogs to compete and to obtain training for the shooting season. The results were as under: — Puppy (land): Mr R. Stephenson's 53 points 1; Mr S. Kerr's English setter, 49pts 2; Mr H. Jackson's English setter 30pts 3. Puppy (water): Mr S. Kerr's English setter 1; Mr R. Stephenson's pointer 2; Mr J. Plamus' English setter 3. Novice (land): Mr AV. Kenyon's English setter 6(spts and Mr J. Rivett's English setter, (jfipt? equal. Novice Water Trial: Mr J. Rivet t's English setter B.">pts 1; Mr F. ' Cameron's Labrador Slpts 2.
