New Red Cross Rooms At last night's meeting of the Whakatane Borough , a letter from the local branch of the Red Cross Society expressed that organisations thanks and appreciation to the. council for the use of the Borough Chambers for past meetings and also the. individual attention and encouragement afforded by members. An invitation to the council to attend the official opening of the new Red Cross Rooms and V.A.D. training centre, early in the new year was also extended.
