MURRAY—HOLLISTER
A very pretty wedding was solemnised on October (> at St. George's Church, Whakatane, when Eunice Nellie only daughter of Mrs L. J. liollistef, of GO Domain Road, Whakatane was married to F/Sgt. Alan Murray (returned from Pacific) only son of Mr and Mrs J .S. Murray Thornton. ' The Rev. J. C. J. Wilson officiated. The bride who entered the Church on the arm of her brother. Mr G. Hollister (returned from Pacific) wore a charming trained gown of white embossed satin with heartshaped neck line and long.waisted bodice. Hev embroidered full-length tulle veil was held in place by a coronet of orange blossom and she carried a shower bouquet of white roses, cyclamen and lily of the valley.
Tlie bridesmaids Miss Lorna Durrad and Miss Valerie Woods, wore respectively, gowns of forget me not blue and rose pink silver effect embossed satin, deeorativcly trimmed with narrow pleating. They carried bouquets of blue and pink flowers and wore matching coronets. Miss Christina Newton, cousin oi the bridegroom, made a charming flower girl in white crepe de chine decorated with 1 silver flowers and pink and blue bows.. She carried a flowered horse shoe. The best man was F/Sgt. Laurie Carey and P/O Geolfrey Robins acted as groomsman. The reception was held at the Parish Hall, where the guests were received, by Mi's Hollister and her brother, Pte. J . A. Ranby.
