ANNUAL MEETING
ST. GEORGE'S TENNIS CLUB The annual general meeting of the St. George's Tennis Club was held in the Parish Hall on Monday, October l s the Rev. J. C. J. Wilson presiding. The election of officers resulted as follows: — President: Rev. J. C. J. Wilson. Club Captain: Mrs R. Morpeth., Secretary: Miss S. P. Otley. Committee: Mesdames. Hall ? Mc-. Leod, Messrs R. S. Beaumont. Selection Committee: Misses A. | Morgan M. Mr S. Beaumont.! It was decided to have opening day on Saturday, October 13 ? and to invite other local clubs. A Yankee Tournament will be hcld } play to commence at 1.30 p.m. Subscriptions for the coming season were fixed at Men, 25/- t Ladies 22/6, with a reduction of 2/6 if paid by November 30 ? and Junior 5/-. Members expressed the view that intec-club matches should be played for tiie Morgan Cup and that with Championship and Ladder Matches I a season of good play could be expected.
