Private Enterprise—State Control A letter i'rom the Associated Chambers of Commerce urged the consideration by the AVhakatane Chamber at its last meeting of the Government's proposed measure to take over bhe Bank of New Zealand. Mr H. G. Warren the chairman, in an interesting survey of the question said he would outline the position as he knew it and leave, it at that. It was not customary or desirable to debate political issues at any of the meetings of the Chamber but it was necessary to consider the whole question from an unbiassed and common sense view.
