"MY FRIEND FLICKA" The attraction commencing tomor J row week at the Regent is "My Friend Flicka," With Roddy McDowall, the boy star of "Lassie Come Home" which has just con-" eluded its season in Wliakatane, the picture tells the simple story of a boy and his love for an untamed horse. Ken McLaughlin (Roddy McDowall) is a youngster living on a ranch. The focal point in his dreams is a horse of his very own. His father finally gives, in to his pleading and offers the boy his choice of any horsfe on the ranch. Unluckily Ken chooses a young filly of a strain his father believes 'loco.' Stubbornly he sticks to his choice and Flicka becomes Ken's. But bis father's misgivings are almost immediately justified - . • "My Friend Flicka" is primarily the story of the great love that grew between the boy and his horse in the face of adversity. There can be no doubt that all who enjoyed "Lassie Come Home" will enjoy perhaps even more "My Friend Flicka." It is the. same type of picture with the same star actor and the same poignant emotion. "My Friend Flicka" comes to the screen in technicolour.
