THE JUNIOR PIPE BAND

IT may not be generally known to residents that the Whakatane Caledonian Society'is Junior Pipe Band, which figured so prominently at the Peace Celebrations, is at the pre' sent time engaged on a tour of the East Coast as far south as Gisborne. The band which has reached a high standard of excellence in both playing and in general entertainment will be giving no less than seven concerts. Twentyfive boys have made the tour and from what we understand they are giving Whakatane one of the finest publicity boosjts it has had for years.
