MAKOGAI LEPER APPEAL

ONCE again the annual appeal on behalf of the Makogai Leper station is made by Mr P. J. Twomey,, whose title 'the Leper-man' has now become something of a household word throughout the Dominion. The work has now grown into proportions that it is handled by a Leper's Trust Boardunder the patronage of the Governor of Fiji. Mr Twomey who remains the faithful secretary to the Board appeals as in the past for: Light materials (new) for women's and children's clothes, silks and embroidery cottons, sunshades or light umbrellas, singlets, sand shoes (new), games, bats, tennis rackets, tobacco, pipee B fishing gear, sweets, soap, children's books and needlework magazines.
