BAY OF PLENTY L.R.C.
MEETING OF BRANCHES A meeting of the Bay of Plenty Labour Representation Committee was held in the Women's Institute room in Matawai recently. Delegates were present from the following branches: Awakeri, T'aneTe Karaka, Ormond ? Hexton, Makaraka ? Tolaga Bay. Tokomaru Bay and Ruatoria. Mr W. W. Jonascn ? president ol the L.R.C. ? welcomed several new delegates and spoke of the proposed organisation for the ensuing twelve months. Remits for the. conference v were received and discussed prior to being placed on the remit order paper Mrs F. Scragg, Tolaga Bay, was appointed minute secretary and the secretary Mr J. Roe ? Opotiki } presented the financial and this was considered by all to be at a progressive figure. Messrs. "IV. Jonasen and Gibson were appointed delegates to tlie area council meeting to be held shortly in Napier. The next meeting of the L.R.C. will be held 'in Matawai prior to the Dominion conference, which will be held in Wellington in Octobcr.
