HAPPY OTAKIRI GATHERING \ MISS J. .BLAIR THE GUEST An exceptionally pleasant evening was spent at the home of Mr and Mrs. A. T. Blair, of on Sat-.-urday June 30 ? in honour of the coming-of-age of their daughter Joan many friends being present to wish her every happiness. During the games competitions and community singing kept everyone thoroughly ha]>py and amused. After the numerous presents had been duly admired came the eventful ccremony of handing over to the guest of the evening the proverbial key, which by the way was one of Paua Shell and was accompanied by a substantial cheque from her par-' ents the guests, then .singing "For She's a Jolly Good Fellow." Joan's fiancee on behalf of his bride-to-be thanked everj-one present for their good wishes and presents. It was the "Wee Sma* Oors" before the party broke up, to the tune of "Aultl Lang Sync." j
