ATTITUDE OF FARMERS The action of the House of Commons in passing a Bill providing for a family allowance of 5/- a -week for every child after the first was referred to at 'last executive meeting of the New Zealand Farmers' Union (Auckland Province) and a resolution was carried that the matter should, if possible, be brought before next month's Dominion Conference, strongly urging that family allowances should be paid without any means test.
