AUCKLAND FARMERS UNANIMOUS At the 45th Annual Conference of the N.Z. Farmers' Union (Auckland Province) full discussion took place on various aspects of the Dominion's economy a& well as the position overseas. These Avere epitomised at the close of the conference in the following resolution moved by Mr M. E. Barrowclough (Morrinsville) ami carried unanimously:— "This conference is seriously disturbed over the 1 drastic reductions in food rations in the Old Country and assures the British Government and the people of Great Britain that the farmers represented here will continue to do everything possible to increase food exports from this country insofar as the manpower position and other restrictions allow. Furthermore this conference strongly urges the greatest possible reciprocity in trade between this country and the Home Land." This resolution is to be cabled to the British Government.
