GYMKHANAS IN THE BAY

PROGRESS has marked the popularity of Gymkhanas in the Bay of Plenty, by the latest move to fornii an Association which will co-ordinate all sporting groups from Opotiki to Tauranga. The Association is the first indication of systemised field days for all centres *over that period, known now as the 'Gymkhana' months, in the late sum-

mer and autumn. In future therefore by virtue of the. lat-

est move we can look forward to an all-round improve- • ment in these popular field-days, whereby the events will bring new and improved competition, the patronage of the general public will increase, and side-shows, running and sporting variety will improve one hundred per cent.
