THE ST. JOHN AMBULANCE HALL

WITH the framework completed and much of the basic structure well under way, the St. John Hall, on King Street is now a mute appeal to the further goodwill of the citizens of Whakatane to lend a practical helping hand. Workers, experienced preferred, are urgently required to assist towards the hall's completion before the worst of the winder arrives. The committee has toiled assiduously over many months, members dividing their time between their selfimposed duties to the public and the further voluntary work required in the construction of their own hall. Workers should contact either of Messrs A. J. Canning, B. Drube or E. Ramson. All offers will be warmly appreciated.
