LADIES' GOLF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING The annual general meeting of tlie Whakatane Ladies' Golf Club was held at the clubhouse on Saturday } April 21. Mrs Spence presided.

Minutes ol' the previous annual general meeting Avere read and conlirmefd. Mrs Spcnce read the president's report on the year's activities and Mrs Otley the treasurer's report which showed a credit balance. The 1 election ol' officers resulted as follows: —President: Mrs. Spence; Captain: Mrs Winstone; Vice-cap-tain: Mrs Combes;, Secretary: Miss Carter; Committee: Mr& Otley, Mrs Mussett Mrs Berg Mrs Sloan©, Mrs Barry, Mrs Mrs Symmans Miss Hunter. -Votes of thanks were then moved to the retiring president Mrs Spence, the ciub captain, Mrs Winstone, the treasurer, Mrs Otley a ltd to the Beacon for publicity during the past season. These were carried unanimously and there being no further business to discuss, the meeting then closed.

TOMORROW'S PLAY On Saturday, May 5, the May Medal will be played.
