ROTORUA OUTCLASSED

In a return match at Rangitaiki during the week-end tlie home team avenged its defeat eax'licr in the season by defeating Rotorua in a representative tennis encounter at Rangitaiki. Actually both teams, won 12 sets each but Rangitaiki won by 1(58. games, to 145. Perfect weather conditions prevailed but the hard courts proved troublesome to the visitors. Mrs Langgutli lost to Miss. Robins o—7;0 —7; Miss Thorp lost to Miss Vlaris 4—7; Mrs McDonald beat Mrs. McDonald 7 —o. Men's Doubles: Rusbatch and Jackson beat Rutherford and Burke 9 —B; Vulgar and Davis lost to Blair and Villis 7 —9; Wanders, and Hedley beat Mexted and Nyland 9—5.
