Awakeri Dance
Special features at the forthcoming Awakeri dance to be held on ' Tuesday 19th include an endurance Old-time Waltz competition for a prize of 30/-. Much speculation has arisen as to the possibility of the orchestra managing to keep playing as long as the dancers retain the floor. In the event of Scotch competitors the committee has seriously considered the prospects of having the ambulance in close attendance for the, closing stages'. Father Christmas will also make his debut (for the district at any rate) and will be loaded with lavish gifts for the children. All told the dance promises to be one of the outstanding events, in the social calendar of Awakeri.
