A TRIBUTE
GESTURE FROM LEGAL PROFESSION THE LATE MR T. J. CUMMINGS "I would like to take this opportunity to express on behalf of the legal profession in Whakatane our deep regret at the decease of Mr T. J. Cummings'" said Mr R. F. Smith addressing the Bench at the conclusion of the court proceedings at the November sitting of the Whakatane Magistrate's Court. "The late Mr Cun)mings j he continue "was kriown to us all asi an ujwigh/t and efficient officer of the Police. Force and* we feel that he will be widely missed by all those associated with the court. We Extend our sympathy to his widow and family. Mr E. L. Walton Said that he had to endorse all that was said. He had found the late Mr Cummings an excellent officer and! a fair man at all times. He too would like to be associated in extending his sympathy to his relatives.
