GARDENING CIRCLE
The monthly meeting of the. Gai> dening Circle was held at Mrs Adams' residence,, Mrs Adams presiding. The minutes of the previous ' meeting were read and confirmed. The entertainment for the afternoon consisted of two competitions. The first, "Guessing Names' of Trees," was won by Mrs Gardner and Mrs Anderson. The second, guessing the -t Weight of a bowl of mixed fruit, was won by Mrs Gardner. Results of the monthly competitions were: A, Best flower: Mrs DorI an 1; Mrs Grey 2; Mrs Adams 3. B, Best vegetable: Mrs Adams. 1; Mirs * Moore 2;. Mrs Doran 3. C, Vase for effect: Mrs Grey 1; Mrs Adams 2: Mrs Moore 3. Alter a delicious afternoon tea, served by the hostesses, Mesdames Anderson and Doran, members inspected the well-kept grounds and gardens before the meeting closed.
