GARDENING CIRCLE
The Garden Circle, was held at the residence of Mrs Mulholland. Apologies were received from several members. Seasonal readings were read on the growing, of roses and perennials. Quite a number of suggestions' were made for the pyo-* grammes for the remainder of the year. The Roll Call 'Pests and how to eradicate them' was responded to by all. Mrs Fennell ably demonstrated the pruning of fruit trees. The monthly competitions were as follows:—'A' Jam jar of flowers: Mrs Mulholland 1; Mrs Stewart 2. '13' Collection of 6 vegetables: Mrs Larsen and Mrs Hannah tied. Afternoon tea Avas served and a pleasant afternoon brought to a close.
