KIRKBRIDE'S ROAD

IT has apparently become the fashion to raise the suggestion of impartial investigation into the pros and cons of Kirkbride's Road, at roughly, intervals of eighteen months. To-day a letter from the ratepayer concerned again requests this action in a controversy now six-years-old. His suggestion follows quickly on a recent outburst by a thoroughly fed-up County Councillor, who asked that the matter be cleaned up once and for all. We suggest, that here is the method! We maintain until this is done, there will always be wasted time at the council table, the likelihood of further incidents and the strong possibility of renewed legal proceedings. As the whole district is as fed-up as the councillors, the alternative is obvious.
