JUNIOR RED GROSS
HIGH SCtIOOL CIRCLE
SPLENDID EFFORT MADE
The Higli School' Circle of the Junior Red Cross had a very successful day on April 14 when they had charge of the Red Cross shop in the Strand, Whakatane l , the takings amounting to over £47. Special praise is due to the teachers who helped towards making the day such a success, namely Misses Lawes, Kemble, Bosward and Mead and for the work they put in both in preparation and on the day of the appeal. The proceeds raised by the efforts of this circle during 1943 were put 'into a children's library for the Whakatane Public Hospital which is certainly much appreciated, and it is hoped that further books will be added from time to time.
