In pursuance of an article which appeared in the Beacon some short time ago regarding a beetle which ivas noticed devouring a Avhite but- * jterfly grub, Mrs A. F. Powtlrell of ■Awakeri reports that she also has seen a brown coloured insect with a dull copper -coloured triangle imprinted upon its back attacking tho ' Monarch Butterfly grubs when they are in the earlier stages and still fairly small. From descriptions. Ithis seems to be the same beetle but Whs yet no trace of its name has jto hand.
