RUGBY FOOTBALL

MASSEY COLLEGE CLUB With manj r more players to draw from than was the case last year, the Massey Agricultural College Football Club looks forward to a successful playing season. Last year, after a season in recess, the club entered two lightweight teams in the Manawatu Union's competitions, and also played in the revived inter-uni-versity matches with the Auckland and Wellington colleges, the latter winning in each case. The annual report states that injuries to many players, for whom there were no substitutes, made it neccssary for the junior team to withdraw from the competition after six games. The senior team, which won three matches and lost seven, had to default four times owing to vacations intervening.
