MEETING AT TANEATUA
The monthly meeting of the lan-, eatua Women's Division of the I'aimers' Union was held on Tuesday, February If), Mrs Prince presiding over a good attendance of members. After routine business had been disposed of Mrs Prince asked for two delegates to represent the branch at the provincial meeting to be held in Whakatane on February 23—Mrs Mitchell and Mrs Grace were delegated to attend.
The president read an invitation from headquarters inviting any division members who could make the trip to the opening of ''Melrose" the new Division Rest Home being opened in Nelson in March. The Dominion Secretary pointed out that arrangements to travel could be made through headquarters. A proposal that in future division meetings be held in the hall supper room was put to the meeting and carried. An amusing debate between lour members Mesdames Grey and Anderson (Modern Mothers) and Mesdamcs Mitchell and Yeoman (Grandmothers) on "Who made the better housekeeper" resulted in a win for the .grandmothers and was much enjoyed by the other members.

Hostesses for the afternon were Mrs Storev and Mrs Gardner.
