V.A.D. fund. January Pension Payments The Post Office has issued the following announcements with regard to the payment ol' pensions for the- month of January: Age benefits | will be. paid on or after Thursday* January 20th, miscellaneous be net its from Friday 21st and, family benefits from Tuesday 25th. Persons affected please take note. Daily Mail Service from Gisborne As a result of representations be has made,, Mr W. Sullivan, MiP., has now received information from the Hon. P. C. Webb. Postmaster General, to the effect that arrangements have now been made for mails to be received on the day of despatch from G ishorne. to W T hakatane. The. mail .for Whakatane will be carrried by service, car and those for Tauranga by train from Taneatua.
