THE BOYS BAND

A WORD of praise for the Whakatane Boys Band which unlike so many local ventures of its. type, instead of gradually disintegrating has gone from strength to strength. Concerts at the public hospital and at the Heads on Sundays have won for the band the highest commendation, while their staged programmes in the Caledonian Hall have never failed to draw a large and appreciative attendance. In extending our congratulations may we join with so many others in complimenting the conductor, Mr W. Jarret, for his remarkable achievement.
