ARMY FARM LABOUR
REPORTS from the Eastern Bay of Plenty Primary Production Council show that farmers of this district are not displaying sufficient interest in the scheme organised by it for the supply of army labour during the harvesting period. The Matata camp is a tangible illustration of the Government's desire to assist the farmer during a period which is recognised as one of the most difficult, yet most essential to good farming during the year. The men available are of good type and are eager to make tremselves useful in the harvesting fields. A ring to the Secretary of the Primary Production Council is all that is needed to obtain the required assistance.
