I)i this way Inspector Delves of the Transport Department detailed his enquiries, leading up to the prosecution of Gilbert Stanley Williams who was charged with driving in a negligent manner at Pai'oa on September 29 and. also with having no warrant of titness.
The defendant said witness had according to the occupants of the other car con.cc.rned, been travelling behind their car on the Paper Mills road. They complained that without. warning he had suddenly overtaken them swung right in front of their vehicle and forced, them on to the side of the road. Defendant's car had s-truck theirs in the process and all three occupants had received a great shock. As mentioned before defendant, had freely admitted his guilt and said he intended to do it. Fined £2 and costs .12s and 10s and costs 12s.
