RESCUE BY SCOUTS

THE decision of the Dominion Council of the Boy Scout Movement, to award a Certificate of Merit to the local Citizens Troop in recognition of the saving of life by three of its members just on ten months ago, brings Scouting once more to the fore. The two young children who were saved from what appeared to be inevitable drowning illustrate the remarkable effect of the training received by the, boys under the Scouting system, which they proceeded to immediately put into practice. The promptness of their action according to medical testimony almost certainly saved two lives. May we add our own congratulations to the boys concerned.
