FUTURE PILOTS

CAMP AT TAURANGA AIR TRAINING CORPS The first Bay of Plenty camp for the training of cadets under the Royal New Zealand Air Force opened in Tauranga on Monday last. This popular movement has met with an enthusiastic response from young New Zealand and of the. 50 boys enrolled, from this district 15 left by train yesterday to attend the camp. They will return next Saturday. The remained enrolled will of course be eligible for future camps. All travelling expenses involved arc covered by the department. More of these camps, will be held as the movement, develops, thus presenting a wonderful opportunity for the younger generation to receive invaluable training and instruction under competent Air Force conditions. The age limit for entrance and instruction in the Air Training Corps has now been raised to 20 years and boj T s liable for the usual annua'l month's Territorial training can now enlist in the Air Training Corps instead, doing a month's training at an Royal New Zealand Air Force Station. Local boys interested are advised to contact acting Flight Commander F. M. Abbott, of WhakJitanc.
