THIRD LIBERTY LOAN
NO dangerous drugs in Bonkora re'ducing treatment. Safe, pleasant, effective. F. G. Macklow, Chemist Wfeakatane* Is a product of Battle Greek Drags few?. Battle
THE total now subscribed to the Third Libejty Loan from the Whakatane postal district is £57,398, made up as follows: 291 subscribers to loan £51,120; purchasers of bonds £4,028; National Savings Deposits £2,250. This leaves the sum of £12,602 still outstanding of the district target of £75,000. though we still have every confidence that this will be found. The fact that Whakatane is listed under Thames, which is last on the list of the 18 postal districts of ttokf Dominion is causing considerable chagrin in some quarters. This however makes no detraction from the efforts put up by the individual districts in the Thames postal area, .amongst which Whakatane must now occupy a leading? position. A pleasing feature is the: growing number of small subscriptions which have come to hand. District and Borough residents are reminded that there is only one more day to go and that a ring" on the phone to their banks will be sufficient to transfer a subscription from their saving accounts.
