TANEATUA BRANCH MEETS % The alinual meeting of the Taneatua branch of the Women's Divi-, sion of the Farmers' Union Avas held in the Sports Pavilion on Tuesday, April 20, Mrs Hill president, presiding' over a good attendance of members. The president's report 'which gave a very full account of the activities of the division for the year was adopted. Mrs Grace, secretary, presented the balance sheet which showed a very good credit, balance, considering all the calls that had been made on members for Patriotic purposes during the year. Mrs E. Hill who had been president of the division' for four years asked to be relieved of her duties when the new officers Averc being nominated. Mrs A. Prince Avas elected president, Mrs Anderson and Mrs Gardner A'iec-presidents, Mrs Grey and Mrs Bennett secctarics,'Mrs Mitchell housekeeping secretary. Mrs Prince in accepting office thanked the members for tlie honour they had done her in electing her to the. presidency and also thanked Mrs. Hill on behalf, of the members for the A r ery able senice she had giA'en in the four years of the leadership. Mrs Mitchell speaking on behalf of those, present, thanked Mrs. Grace, the retiring secretary, for her services to the diA'ision; Mrs Grace lurking been secretary for five years. it Avas decided to hold the division birthday on Tuesday, May IS. Avhe.n sister d'msions of the district and the local Women's Institute members Avould be inA'ited to attend. Prizes for the year were Avon as follows: En tries prize, Mrs Hill. Points prize, Mrs Anderson 1; Mrs Hill and Mrs Bennett tied for 2nd place. Single llowcr, Mrs Anderson 1; Double flower, Mrs Hayward 1; Shrub. Mrs HayAvard 1. Attendance prizes: Mrs Tocker, Mrs Marsden and Mrs Grace. Afternoon tea Avas served, by the committee and the meeting closed Avith the singing of the National Anthem.
