THE GYMKHANA APPROACHES

DETAILS in connection with the gymkhana and sports display to be held on the Whakatane Showgrounds under the aegis of the A. and P.. Association, are proceeding apace. The committee has built on to the original programme by including a Highland Section which should provide a colourful interlude, for those persons interested in national dancing. The horse events bid fair to bring record entries and should provide competitions well worth coming many miles to see. Altogether the gymkhana should prove a further plendid advertisement for the district and the enterprise of its people
