An Industrious Family The current edition of the book "Who's Who in New Zealand," contains particulars of the working careers of Mr and Mrs J. H. Claridge and family, all born in New Zealand. Of their seven daughters', five before marriage were school teachers under different education boards, the youngest obtaining a degree; she was born in Taumarunui. During a period of more than a quarter of a century, Mr Claridge established several country newspapers, including the Taumarunui Press, the Otorohanga Times and Morrinsville Star. One daughter was the wife of Mr Ron Brooke, formerly a chemist of Whakatane, and who is now in business in | Dargaville.
