FORTHCOMING PATRIOTIC QUOTA

A MEETING called for Tuesday evening by His Worship the Mayor which is advertised in to-day's issue, serves as a reminder that the new year's Patriotic quota is now under consideration and that ways and means must be found for its collection. Last year the Borough of Whakatane reached its full objective (£2300) within the allotted time. This year it is hoped that a similar* position will arise. Citizens who have the war effort and the interests of the town at heart are asked to attend the Borough Council Chambers next Tuesday evening and to illustrate their interest by offering their services and advice.
