NEW DIVERSION SUGGESTED ESTIMATES TO BE PREPARED A special sub-committee I'rom the County Council inspected a proposed deviation of the Wa,imana River near Lowe's Road and above Waimana recently., and it was., resolved that the Acting Engineer prepare estimates l'or the suggested work of diversion. Discussing the matter., the chairman, ?tlr J. L. Burnett, said the. river at this: point had been giving a lot of trouble leading to increasing Hooding. The angles near Woolfield's gate had been worn back and
it was very necessary that prevention work be initiated.
Tiie council agreed to the proposal and will later consider authorising the work.
