BREACH OF PROHIBITION
TAN EAT U A PROSE CUTI ON S Several cases 'involving breaches of existing prohibition orders were preferred in the Whakatane Court 3 r estcrday by Constable O. Rice, of Taneatua, before Mr E. L. Walton, S.M. Haumai Takcwai, of Ruatoki; who was prohibited in 1919 was described as having been found in a drunken condition on July 27 last. Fined £2 and costs 255. Kopa Hawai was charged with a similar breach of his prohibition order on July 11 at Taneatua. Fined £1 and costs 255. Roy Trainor for a similar offence was lined £1 and costs 355. The application of Major N'uku of Taneatua for a prohibition order for 12 months, on his own volition was granted.
