The Mayoress, Mrs 13, S. Barry, presided at the annual meeting o-C the Whakatane branch of the New Zealand Plnnkct Society. There Avas a fair attendance of the general public which included lour delegates from Gpotiki who had made the
trip especially.

The president's (Mrs Cairns) report, together Avith Nurse Armstrong's and the reports from all sub-branches Avere read and adopted. Mrs Cave, Opotiki, asked if it would be possible for Nurse Armstrong to spend sonic time in Waimana on her way to Opotiki. This matter was referred to the commit-
A vote of thanks to the outgoing committee, treasurer and secretary was proposed by Mrs Caisley, seconded by Mrs Armstrong. A vote of thanks' to Mrs Barrj r for taking the chair concluded the meeting.
