The District Engineer, P.W.D., wrote the County Council at its last meeting referring to the arrangement entered into between the Minister of Public Works and the Council, and advising that the necessary repairs to the deck of the Ruatoki bridge had been carried out and the surface sealed the bridge now being in good order., The Department advised therefore that tlie future responsibility for the maintenance of this bridge now rested with this
