PERSONAL
At the meeting of the Whakatane County Council yesterday a special vote of sympathy was accorded Ci McGougan in the loss in actioji of his sen overseas. The chairman, Mr J. L. Burnett, remarked that only when an actual loss was brought home to them, could they be expected to realise the great sacrifice which had to be made.
