CALEDONIAN INGLESIDE.
ENJOYABLE JUNE GATHERING LARGE CROWD ATTENDS The Whakatane Caledonian Society staged its June Ingleside last Friday evening in the Society's hall King Street. There was a splendid attendance and a full programme of modern and old-time dancing AA*as indulged in. Good music Avas supplied by the Rhythm Aces orchestra, Avhile Piper All' Ferguson carried out the duties' of M.C. Novelty dances included two Monte Carlos, Avon by Miss Jean Howat and Mr Arthur Baldock ;tnd Miss Cruse and partner. Supper Avas provided by the Soeietv'!s capable ladies committee comprising Mesdames Craig, Simons. Butler and helpers. The Ingleside Avas the first of the regular social evenings to be embarked on by the Society in the new hall and aa'as Avelcomed by many of the old supporters. The band Avhieh Avas in attendance proA r ided music for many of the dances and avas a very welcome acquisition.
