EXCELLENT PRICES REALISED The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd. reports a very .successful clearing sale held on account of Mr W. O. McMahon, Galatea Road. The herd came forward in splendid condition, but owing to the very bad season the individual records Ave re not as good as the previous year. HoAvever, the bidding Avas very brisk and prices well up to expectations. Best early calvcrs made from £12 to £l(i 3 os, later calv-< ers from £8 to £11 10s, backAvard from £5 to £7, the average for sound •in-calf coavs being £10 15s, Ayrshire Jersey cross springing heifers from £7 to £10 10s, yearling Jersey-Ayr-shire cross heifers £4 18s, one eight year mare all farm Avork £31, one aged mare £!> 10s. Also on account Mr T. Anderson: 12 Jersey coavs made from £7 15s to £11, coavs 'in milk from £!) to £11. springing Jersey heifers from £7 10s to £9 15s. The average oA'er the 12 coavs and 5 heifers being £10 ss.
