SHOOTING ACCIDENT

MAN WOUNDED IN ARM While he Avas out shooting a short distance from his house at Hinahinanui, at the back of LoAver Waiawa, a Maori, Hector (Hi) Haukairi accidentally shot himself in the arm last Tuesday. Men Avho Ave re Avorking nearby on the riA'er bed assisted in carrying the Avounded man to the house, and lie Avas later coiiA'eyed to the Opotiki Hospital Avhere it Avas found necessary to giA'e a blood transfusion. His condition is stated to be fairly satisfactory.
