UNIFORMS FOR WOMEN
A PROTECTION IN WAR TIME The question of i*egul!ation uniforms for women workers behind l the lines, was raised' by Mr W. J. Simons at the Awake New Zealand! committee meeting last Friday evening, when he asked what the position of members of the W.W.S.A. and other women's organisations working in conjunction with the army would l be in time of war. The secretary stated that the onl'y uniform recognised by the Hague convention for a woman, was the Red Cross Nurses. However it was important that if uniforms gave any protection they should 1 be obtained' for the women wiair workers. It was agreed to write Headquarters requesting information on the point.
