TE TEKO CATTLE DOG TRIALS
IP there is one organisation worthy of commendation it is surely the Te Teko Cattle Dog Trial Club which this year is once again staging its annual meeting, the twenty-third in unbroken sequence. In spite of war conditions the club manages: to successfully foster an interest in a sport which in practically every other part of New Zealand, iapsed many years ago. That the trials continue to draw large and interested crowds is a tribute to the committee and the officials running the events. Last year the club ra'ised £50 which was donated to the Patriotic fund. This year all profits will go to the R.S.A. During the war period the policy of the committee will be to devote all surplus money raised to deserving causes. The object in staging the meeting is merely to maintain contact and to ensure that the club is kept alive and in operation. The. next meeting takes place on June 17.
