COALITION
IF there is one glaring indictment on our war effort it is surely our inability to get together in a political sense and form a Coalition Government to tide us over the years of conflict. While Ave are set such weak examples by our leaders we cannot be expected as a people to give the utmost within our power irrespective of partyism or class. The voice of the N.Z. R.S.A. has now been heard on the subject . And the Prime Minister himself has declared his personal interest in its promotion—yet with war closer to our scores than ever before, those of us who were wont to listen in to parliamentary debates are. compelled to listen to the same old party jargon and political repartee which has made ..us so heartily disgusted in the past. In all seriousness, with the whole future of the country at stake we take the liberty of adding our own small voice to the growing demand for genuine co-operation and better understanding which can only be achieved by Coalition.
