PAENGAROA Y.F.C. PLANIS FOR WINTER SEASON I The monthly meeting of the Paengaroa Young Farmers' Club was helcl in the Paengaroa Hall on Tuesday, May; 12, Mr S. ' One new member was elected. 1 Entries were taken for the Doidgo Cup ensilage competition, several > members present signifying their in- « tention to participate. After much discussion it w r as de- ' cided that the club should enter i team in the inter-club debating com--1 petition. For the purpose: of selecting this team a practice debate: is to be held between two teams chosen from the following members 1 : G. Spratt, C. Rid dell, B. Vant, K. Ball, P. Hiciksion, D. Ross, P. Voltz, J.. Guliver and I. Spratt. The club decided to forward its congratulations to Mr D. S- Ross, Dominion President, complimenting him on his address delivered in the Young Farmers' Session from IYA, and alsoi to ask him to address the club at some future meeting. The proposal that Mr J. Mi. Smith, Fields Superintendent, Department of Agriculture, should be approached with the view of hiss delivering a lecture at some future date, was carried unanimously. The arrangementsfor this lecture are to be discussed with the Te Puke Club. Following the suggestion of the Western Bay of Plenty District Committee that the clubsi in the Te Puke district should organise a field day, the Paengaroa Club agreed to hold a stock judging field day on June 13, subject to this date proving suitable for the other clubs. It having been agreed, that the next meeting of the club ist to be held on June 2, the meeting concluded with a vote of thanks to the chair.
