BUILDING OF TRAILER
COSTS IN DISPUTE
CLAIM AND COUNTER CLAIM
The construction of a specially constructed trailer capable of carrybig a small bout and the resultant cost thereof, formed the basis, of a dispute between R. H. Crozier and Michael Coorv in the Whakatane Magistrate's Court, before Mr E. L. Walton, S.M., last Tuesday. Plaintiff was represented by Mr C. A. Suckling and claimed that the original quote had been varied on account of defendant's changing ideas as to the vehicles construction. Mr Barry who appeared for the defendant, maintained that there had been no variation but that the increase was due to defendant's own mistakes. The counter claim comprised: the value of a female model sold to the plaintiff and also some work completed on the Dry Cleaning premises of which defendant Avas the proprietor. After hearing lengthy evidence and enduring unique periods of descriptive detail the court fixed the claim of plaintiff at £6 15s and the counter claim at £1 18s.
