Replying to reports freely circulated that the Japanese had many aircraft carriers, but that they, were generally ineffective, an American expert managing a factory for the Chinese Chungking Government described this information as entirely misleading. He went on to tell how the Japanese bombed the Chinese every day for six months, and sometimes twice a da} r , from a carrier lying at least 300 miles away, a circumstance Avhich showed highly effective use of the carrier.
